About the event

Join us for an engaging afternoon at the Inn at Lost River as we explore Doug Tallamy’s How Can I Help: Saving Nature with Your Yard. Entomologist Nathan Erwin (former curator of the Smithsonian’s Insect Zoo & Butterfly Pavilion) and Michael Ortiz (Master Gardener and co-owner of the Inn) will lead a lively discussion on how native plants and pollinator-friendly practices can transform our yards into thriving habitats.

Following the talk, browse our Native Plant Sale and take home selections to start—or expand—your own wildlife-friendly garden. Doug Tallamy's book is also available for purchase at the Lost River General Store and at Wordplay (Wardensville, WV).
